December GIFT CARD & NEW TOYS & GIFT DRIVE FOR THE ACPHD BLACK INFANT HEALTH & NURSE-FAMILY PARTNERSHIP & BUILDING FUTURES FOR WOMEN & CHILDREN
We are excited to launch the Pallen’s Martial Arts community service event “Season on Giving 2023.” This year, we are partnering with Building Futures and Alameda County Black Infant Health and Nurse-Family Partnership – among other programs offered by the ACPHD. If you are interested in donating a New, unwrapped toy, gift or gift card for someone in need, please drop-off your donation at the Fitness Center. Please note; all donated gifts should be new and unwrapped, we are NOT participating in a clothing drive for the the programs servicing women and children, thanks for understanding!
Building Futures focuses on providing much needed support and housing to the most vulnerable domestic violence sufferers and their families. Help brighten the Holidays for children and adults served in Building Futures’ shelters, housing, and domestic violence programs!
For over 30 years, the Alameda County Black Infant Health (BIH) Program has worked with our community to help improve birthing and parenting outcomes of African and African-American mothers. We aim to empower pregnant and mothering Black women to make healthy choices for themselves and their children as well as build a community that stands up against the injustices towards African-American women and their birthing experiences.
Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) is a home visiting program that partners nurses with low income first-time moms residing in Oakland, in order to give babies the best start in life. The Mission of the NFP is to empower first-time mothers living in poverty to successfully change their lives and the lives of their children through evidence-based nurse home visiting.

We hope that many of you decide to participate in one capacity or another. Help us teach our students the values of compassion, community service, and gratitude. As parents, we try so hard to give our children a better life and provide for them with as much as we possibly can, take this opportunity to teach them the fundamental values of gratitude, kindness, and the importance giving back to the community. These lessons become habits the more they are practiced. Thank you!
